Well I was finally forced to point the video on the front page to the copy on youtube. I didn't really want to do that because the quality isn't as good but you can't beat their bandwidth. Blip.tv seems like an excellent provider and they don't brand the video like youtube does (which is really nice) but the videos just weren't loading and I think a lot of people probably got bored and left before it came up. So... on to youtube. Hopefully tomorrow I will be on to a CDN... stay tuned. And thanks for the comments! UPDATE: Blip.tv contacted me and explained the outage. See the comment below for an explanation from Mike Hudack at Blip. I do want to say that Blip seems to be an excellent provider and they are doing all the right things from my perspective as a content creator. They don't automatically brand their content and they make all of their services optional (crossposting, licensing, advertising, etc). Not to mention that their service is free. They really seem to have their hearts in the right place so go check them out: blip.tv. Thanks |

Submitted by Arim (not verified) on Mon, 06/30/2008 - 08:04.Hey, you can put High Definition videos on youtube - this may solve the problem of low quality :)
direct download link?
Submitted by wronny (not verified) on Mon, 06/30/2008 - 06:31.The Blip.tv "player" didn't work for me neither in Firefox 3 nor in Safari (both running under Windows), it just took too long to load the whole video. (No streaming?)
But it is possible to download the video from Blip.tv ...
just get the URI of the .flv (live HTTP Headers for FF helped me out)
It would be great if a download link of a higher quality version of the video remained on the page :-)
PS: Great Video; Looking forward too see more

Blip quality
Submitted by marquisdejolie (not verified) on Thu, 07/03/2008 - 07:44.Blip and Revver consistently display my videos in a higher definition quality than the other sites I multiple upload to via Tubemogul and I really like the automatic crossposting feature. Keep up the good work!
