Well... we don't really know what to say except thanks everyone for the awesome comments and feedback! Woohoo!!!! While I doubt we can beat this one we are going to make some more videos and we'll post them here. Get on the RSS feed to be notified when something is up. Thanks for all the attention and links from the blogs and forums and twitter. Totally awesome. On the downside the number of hits we got destroyed my server. So yea, as some of you noticed, The Website Is Down really was down. For those who are interested (something tells me that's like a lot of you), here's a little rundown: I posted the video at 1am on Friday, Jun 20. I mailed about 100 people the link, posted it on StumbleUpon and went to bed. By the next morning I had about 500 hits on the site which I thought was pretty good. I started to get a little worried about my bandwidth utilization. The base rate on my plan is good for an average of 200kbps over the course of a month (which is about 2gb/day). In that first day we got over 3500 hits and used over 120gb of bandwidth! That's when I started to freak out (see graph). After that I moved the flash video to blip.tv and things calmed down considerably. That is until I realized that just by serving the images for the front-end I was still using over 2gb/day of bandwidth. Uh... So I'm waiting to get the bill on this one. :) Anyway... We're very psyched it's popular. Thanks to everyone who passed it on and everyone who commented. -josh

Are they real? Because that Chip seems almost impossibly retarded. It might also be that I've not worked in a corporate setting yet, yet I have heard stories (people not knowing how to save documents, how to download something from an email attachment, etc.) So, damn I guess it could be true, fuck I answered my own question. Still-- it's true?
